Is Newborn Photography Worth the Investment?

Updated: Mar 31

At Sparkles Photography we’ve have had the honour of capturing countless precious moments for growing families.

One question that often arises from new parents is, "Is newborn baby photography really worth the investment?"

In this blog post, we’ll share with you why we believe preserving these early memories through photography is an investment you'll never regret and will only increase in value as your kids grow older.

Fleeting Moment

Babies naturally grow and change so rapidly during their first few weeks of life.

That sleepy newborn phase is fleeting, and before you know it, your baby will be sitting up and crawling.

Investing in newborn baby photography allows you to freeze those precious moments in time, creating lasting memories, you can cherish forever.

Professional Quality

Using your phone might seem tempting but crafting stylised shots that exudes beauty take experience and a fair amount of money for props. Also, the lens on the phone can not still be compared to the high quality of professional lenses along with professional lighting. Improper lighting can truly make or break a picture.

Professional photographers have the experience, equipment, and skills to create stunning, high-quality images that truly showcase your baby's uniqueness and those moments that will create long lasting snaps that you will fawn over in the years to come.

Baby Safety Training

Chances are that professional photographers have invested in their education to learn baby safety during posing.

Hiring a hobbyist photographer who has not attained such level of expertise is equivalent to putting your newborn at risk of injury.

Meticulous Post Editing

Most clients see their photographer during shoot time and so it is believed that they are being charged for those 2 to 3 hours of session time.

However, most of the work happens behind the scenes. Editing newborn photos to perfection can be tideous and tiring. As a newborn photographer, I can spend anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes on editing a single image.

Museum Grade Products

At Sparkles Photography, we take pride in sourcing our prints and albums from the top professional photo labs. Archival printing services rely on special-grade ink and specialty paper to create an illustration that can last a long time. Combined with archival paper, the special ink is resistant to fading and weathering, making the final print more durable and longer lasting than other alternatives.
